We regularly advise clients in both the print media as well as the electronic media segment. Our experience has included, for example:
- Assistance to one of the biggest European publishing houses with the publication of a computer-related magazine in Malaysia and Singapore - we worked with the company from their start in both countries until the divestiture of their interests to a leading Indonesian publishing house
- Legal advice for a European company wishing to secure a local TV license (first time for a foreign company)
- Legal advice to a European start-up media company in Singapore and assistance to their phenomenal growth and expansion into other Asian countries
(2) COMMUNICATIONS
In the communications area, we have assisted a leading European exhibition company with the due diligence and acquisition of a minority equity stake in a Thai exhibition company – over time, this minority share was gradually expanded. In addition to accompanying the acquisition, we were in charge of all ongoing legal issues.
